Hello Bowlers,

Tomorrow will be a fabulous day to be at the bowlo.

The Major Singles final will be a slugfest between two tall, lean, XXXX loving men, who have sometimes, as teammates, been seen at the pointy end of Zone Senior Pairs competitions.

Barry Boreham will be contesting his first Major Singles Final and is vying to be the third first timer in a row, to be crowned Club Singles Champion. If anyone can do it, Barry can. With at leat two varieties of draw bowls – one slow and the other FAST – and possibly more that we don’t yet know about, he will be a very dangerous protagonist, in his steady, unflappable way.

Having won over, John Ainsworth, Manus McFadyen, Geoff Tye and John Rushton, Barry has form and results, and a never say die attitude.

On the other side of the rink will be me, having won over, Don Willesee, Peter Donald, Steve Andersen and Sam Marsden.

Master of Ceremonies will be President Maurie Altman, as marker.

There are also 3 club pairs matches scheduled tomorrow, with some exceedingly interesting match-ups. Green 3 will host all the championship matches.

Social bowls is available, and the weather forecast is promising.

Please come down and be part of the carnival atmosphere at the Bowlo, to either play or watch some fantastic bowls.
